Denise Glavaris was interested in the tiny house movement, so she was looking online for builders of tiny houses. A family member told her about Ulrich Lifestyle not far from her home, so she visited the location.
While there, she decided to buy a she shed rather than a tiny house. She enjoyed working with her own design consultant. “Ulrich is a company with old-fashioned values, and that was important to me,” she says. She wanted to have her poolside she shed built onsite so she could be involved in the process. It was also the best way to get it into her backyard.
Starting with a 10×12 Heritage shed from Ulrich Lifestyle, Denise added upgrades such as french doors, a wide storage loft, lots of extra outlets, and charming corbels and window boxes on the outside. Her designer worked to get every customization she wanted into the design. “He heard me,” Denise says, and “had my best interests at heart.”
Denise added paving and steps around the shed, integrating it into the landscaping of her backyard.
Her poolside she shed, a birthday gift to herself, has become her home office as well as a place to entertain guests poolside. Moving the office to her she shed freed up space in Denise’s home for a bed and breakfast, accommodating many travelers to Modesto from around the world.
Denise is thrilled with her green and white shed, uniquely designed to suit her taste and fit her backyard. She says at Ulrich Lifestyle, “They go out of their way to make it happen.”
